Sunday was a glorious day with 7.9 hours of strong sunshine, mainly in the morning, as cloud built up after 2pm. The strong sunshine raised the thermometer to a maximum of 21.4C. the warmest day for three weeks and 0.7C above the August average.
Another dry day with light winds, peak gust being 10mph, and the calmest day since 29th June.
Clear skies meant another cool night with the thermometer dropping to 6.9C at 05.21 producing the coolest night since 6th June.
This morning dawn with low cloud and mist over the Marlborough Downs but just before 8am the sun broke through occasionally raising the temperature at 08.00 to 11.2C
